General information about Lithuania
Lithuania - officially the Republic of Lithuania - is a country in Northern Europe, situated along the south-eastern shore of the Baltic Sea.
It shares borders with Latvia, Belarus, Poland, and the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad. Lithuania is a member of NATO, the Council of Europe, and the European Union.
The population is 3.4 million; capital and the largest city is Vilnius.

Law
The Lithuanian Nation executes its supreme sovereign power either directly or through its democratically elected representatives. State power is executed by the Seimas (parliament), the president of the republic, the government, and the judiciary.
The supreme law – the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania was adopted by citizens in the Referendum of 25 October 1992 and came into force on 2 November 1992.

Ministry of Social Security and Labour of the Republic of Lithuania has commissioned the State Labour Inspectorate to coordinate cooperation with EU AGENCY; State Labour Inspectorate is responsible for gathering and dissemination of information through Lithuanian information network.
